A new school year means lots of new faces around the Sustainable Food Project offices and at the Yale Farm. We’ll be using this space to introduce you to some of them in the next few weeks; make sure to stop by work hours, pizza events and Chewing the Fat talks to say hi in person and welcome them on board!
Hey, folks! My name is A. Grace Steig, and I am the outreach and writing intern for the Project. A sophomore, I think I might major in Environmental Studies with a focus in ecology. I hail from Seattle, where time spent on an urban farm and among environmentalist friends brought me to consider the impact of the things I was eating. Luckily I found my way to the Farm; people here nod knowingly at my food choices and stretch me to learn more. This year my job entails sending out the weekly events newsletter, and I revel in volunteer workdays. I spend a lot of my time slowly, and outside of the YSFP things I enjoy include eating vegan meals and baking vegan treats – preferably with you!
